The windhunter academy was established 2011 as an exclusive training center for the wind energy industry. High level training courses and study of work safety in and on wind turbines are available.
INITIAL SITUATION
At the training and study camp of the windhunter group, all activities are focused on safe working practices within wind turbines. As certified training partner of the Global Wind Organization (GWO), the academy offers among other training the complete “Basic Safety Training” (BST) according to the GWO rules: first aid, manual handling, fire awareness, working at heights and sea survival. It is important to simulate situations most authentically when working in the environment of wind industry.
SOLUTION
“As we started to lay the foundation for our Basic Maintenance Training (BMT) with a vocational course for technicians and service engineers of wind power plants, we met Mr. Cichosz, the Polish trading partner of alkitronic”, states Roman Synowski, managing director of the windhunter group. Convinced by the quality “Made in Germany”, which marks alkitronic products, windhunter academy since then has used products like the hydraulic pump Nova, the electric torque multiplier EF 250 Plus, EFCip 60, both with torque/angle function, or the hydraulic torque multipliers AS3 and AX4 in their training.
The alkitronic tools impress above all by low weight in relation to high performance as well as a robust and ergonomic design.
